Multiple Adsense Accounts?

What if I set up multiple adsense accounts under the name of my family members?

Is it legal?

Google doesn't have a way to find if all these ads will be bringing money to me, and not to my family, uhm ? Thanks.

I think multiple accounts are not allowed. How ever you may contact adsense team.

One account for one person and one address. If you have two accounts on single name or address Google will find out and disable the account at any time. Already same happened to my accounts.

Multiple Adsense account is not allowed. This is against the TOS of Adsense. Your both account may be banned. Google is very smart and they will catch you and ban you. Do not do it for your safety.

By the way, why you need multiple Adsense account? You may show ads on multiple sites by using only one Adsense account. There have no problem.

No one can outsmart the big G. It is better to play within their TOS rather than outside. The pain is not worth it and is felt for months and years.

This is actually an issue where there is so many "rumors" floating around, nobody knows up from down!

Can one person have multiple accounts? The answer is actually "yes".

Can there be adsense accounts that have the same address in common? The answer is actually "yes".

Google's only requirement is that each account have DIFFERENT PAYEE names.

The OP could have an Adsense account in his name.

The OP could then get a d.b.a certificate, get an EIN number issued free and immediately by the IRS, open up a bank account in the d.b.a.'s name, and you've got a new payee for the adsense account.

The OP's mother, father, son, sister, etc. could all open Adsense accounts and live at the same address -- as long as the payee name is different.

The only thing that I couldn't understand is why anybody would need more than one Adsense account? Two -- maybe. One personal and one business.

If you're thinking you need all these accounts because you're afraid of getting "banned" by Adsense, this is not the correct strategy to employ.

Follow Adsense's Terms of Service and Adsense Policies and you'll never end up with a banned account.

This question gets asked frequently, and usuallyclueless was the only one to get it right. It states in the TOS of AdSense how to open up multiple accounts for different business names.

Can I sign up for more than one account? - AdSense Help and select #4. In black and white, on an official Google AdSense page it is clearly stated how to open up multiple accounts.

You can have a second account for your business, and one for personal.

After that, you might have to be sneaky and set it up under family members who have different addresses.

Be careful and only create extra accounts if you need them, try not to get banned.

Thanks for the additional tips...but the question still remains: why would anybody need more than two Adsense accounts? And even for me, personally, I have trouble justifying even two.

I love being able to link my sites with the same Adsense code and logging into my account and dealing with everything right then and there.

Understanding one simple fact about Google Adsense's program is important here:

1. USUALLY people aren't out there monitoring your websites to see if they comply with Adsense's TOS or Policies -- it's usually Google's bots that figure this out and then slap a ban on you without a human even seeing it (besides you!).

2. That means, read the TOS carefully, read the policies carefully and COMPLY.

People get too greedy by trying to cut corners and switch to the wrong colored hat all to feed their greed to get "more" faster.

Nothing beats building a steady foundation and doing things right the first time!

Answering why, because you can have different business with different partners and you are administering the accounts. That's why I arrived to this thread

Business is different entity you can apply separate adsense account in your business name.
