Advice on making quality back links myself?

I've had my first Wordpress site a bit over a month, and it's page rank 3, first on the first page of professional social promotion, and on the first page of other searches like social promotion services, but those aren't huge searches.

I want to rank for social promotion, so what do I need to do to get that ranking?

I've made back links from Ezine, Go articles, Squidoo, Hubpages, Triond, Factoidz, about ten social bookmarking sites, a couple of forum sites, I submitted to Dmoz, and I'm running out of ideas.

Can you suggest what further back links I should make, with specific examples of sites? Do I need to pay for a service? I don't have much money.

I'm pretty new at SEO, so I don't really know many, but I did use other article sites such as articlebase and goarticles. Articlebase approves really fast like 1-2 days for me.

From what I remember, Articlesbase is no follow. Ezine was good, because I had the article I wrote syndicated, by articles linking back to the original, which was do follow.

Squidoo, Stumble Upon, Reddit, Facebook

these are all important sources of backlinks

I have heard that a Facebook page can help you, if you have a lot of likes, even though Facebook is no follow. StumbleUpon is no follow too, but I've already submitted there, and got a number of views. Google does seem to like social signals, but it's not easy to get hundreds of likes and thumbs up, and tweets, unless you pay for them.

You're already at #12 for "social promotion". You're on page 2 of Google.com. I believe, it's just a matter of time till you hit page 1. Just keep doing what you've been doing till now and add more (different) links.

Invest $20 on Fiverr this month for SENuke campaign, AMR blast, EDU blast, manual high PR comments (well, you could get a 5k scrapebox comments blast easily on Fiverr. But, I won't recommend it right now), and.... I think that will suffice. Just pick you seller wisely.

After you nail the page one for "social promotion", go after other higher search keyword. After all, "Social promotion" has "only" 1000 global exact search. I know you can do it!

I recommend commenting in forums because it's easy to do and can get you pretty good backlinks. But make sure you write something of value otherwise it doesn't count.

I have a test site, cheap stylus. I bought a couple of SEO software blasting gigs on Fiverr, and it seemed to have no effect at all, in fact it was on the first page, and now it isn't, now that I look, it isn't even indexed anymore. I think that I will continue posting quality content, and making quality back links manually, from as many different places as I can.
