Without looking at the site we can only guess what could improve it. ie: You could try putting some ads above the fold...unless they already are... |

I have the same AdSense issue, with the site in my signature. My CTR is only 0.7%, and I've tried different placements, but no success...

There are a lot of variables that can affect your click through rate. Without actually seeing your site, here is what I would do. Make sure you are using 3 ad blocks in different positions.Try moving your adsense ads around. Every couple of days move them into a different position. Here is a link to the google heat map Where should I place Google ads on my pages? - AdSense Help I have also found that plain layouts get better click through rates. Using fancy layouts with a lot of distractions is probably not a good idea. Remember, you want them to focus on your ads and nothing else. Make sure your ads are blue and the text is black. People automatically associate blue with links that they can click. This is very basic information, but it is a good place to start. Let me know if this helps you out or not. |

The only reason that CTR is important at all is that the better your click thru rate is, the less it costs to maintain a higher placing ad..Google lowers the price per click for higher performing ads. They do this because their job is to offer the most relevant search results and if an ad is performing well with a higher CTR are deemed as more relevant,
