Guys, I am just wondering: typically, which adsense ad type has a better click rate: text or image? |

Text in my opinion. Make sure you blend the ads to make them look like a regular part of the site and you'll get even BETTER click rates. Here's an example: RN Programs, Everything you wanted to know about Registered Nursing programs & more! Look at the ads on the left, they look like and blend with the menu and the site nicely. |

I've actually tested this quite extensively and the answer is; it depends. I suggest you run split tests with just images and just text ads (and also with images/text ads mix). As a general rule of thumb niche sites seem to do better with text ads while mass appeal sites tend to do better with image ads. |

for me, it depends... depends on how you show them.. you have to try and try and try to make sure you have the best for all... Too bad adsense does not have report to tell us where the click was text or image clicks. =( But i'd suggest you to use both. Unless you are doing some experiment =)
