How does suspended hosting affect rankings?

hi,

Just wanted to check up on you guys, some of my newer sites has been a bit weird lately, I had a string of suspended hosting two months on a row, due to changing credit cards.

I fixed it withing 24-48 hours each time.

Do you think this could have impact on my rankings at all, or is it just a coincidence?

Yes it would affect ranking in my opinion. Your site was down for a long time and it happened twice.

From my experience it will affect your rankings.

I had the same experience as you just recently where my acct was suspended due to bandwidth. In most of the sites I saw a drop in rankings after we brought the sites back up.

I'm still suffering the consequences. I hope they go back up soon. I may have to throw some more backlinks at it.

In our experience the elasitic window of recovery is as long as two weeks where sites have been unavailable or even hacked, lost their rank, been restored and then got that same rank back.

I would be very unconcerned for a 24/48 window...

	Then again...there's always PPC ;)
