Any detailed courses on backlinking?

I want to seriously delve into backlinking but the whole thing is so confusing. I know I could have someone do it for me but I really like to control what is done and I think it is important to thoroughly understand it. Are there any really good, detailed courses or ebooks that totally walk you through, such as "do this and this is exactly how you do it, step by step?"
Particularly interested in detailed info on link wheels.

Read Terry Kyles stuff at Backlinks Forum and get his course.

His stuff is pretty good

I use yahoo site explorer analysis competitor link building, from there I also do the same thing as what competitor doing.

Their is no need to waste time and money on stupid courses just explore the web read as much as you can, try to make things between what you read. You are done

You are asking the right question and have a great mindset, wanting to learn the practical nature of back-linking. As you probably know, there are a lot of online "courses" out there that provide pretty poor training and delivery methods. You may want to check out Pro Mark Training to find some practical training.
