How to do Build Links Virally

Okay! for some of you my thread may look surprising and stupid, if this is the case than you can move to next without waiting. For everyone else here goes my question.
We all usually build links through blog commenting, forum posting and article submissions etc but they are not actually backlinks and sometimes these methods can also not be considered as white hat. I think in future blog commenting and forum posting will have a different use, like introducing your business or developing relations but they will not be used for pure backlinking.
The pure white method of link building is to make viral links. I think we should explore some methods or process which can help us to build viral links. Viral links carry more worth than the links made by typical methods.
If someone knows how to build viral links kindly share your knowledge if nobody knows than lets discover something together

A broader term for this would be link bait. Creating content that people link back to, top 10 articles are brilliant for link bait.
