I made a website before but even though it ranks the traffic is not much. How should I check traffic on specific keyword ( very specific ). Adword Tool mixes up all keyword variations.

In the Google Keyword Tool, make sure to select exact match. Then multiply the monthly search volume by about 0.35-0.40. That's approximately how much traffic you can expect each month for that keyword ranking at #1.

Google Adword Keyword Tool is usually used to determine your sites targeted keyword. This free tool shows you the monthly and international visits as well as the competition of the keyword.

Yeah, most of SEO's use Google Adwords in checking their keyword analysis. But if you want, you can use other keyword tools.

Don't really get what you mean but if I had to guess, I think you're asking for how to get exact keyword search volume? If so, then in adwords keyword tool look for Matching types on the left side of the window, then under it uncheck Broad and check exact. You will then know the search volume you can expect for that exact word or phrase. |

Check the Google Keyword tool and then check the keyword from Google insights. Should get a relatively good idea.

Even though the Adwords tool gives you a very accurate idea of keyword selection and the amount of traffic you can expect from it, try eliminating the variants of the keywords that you use. Also make sure that the keyword that you are trying to rank for attracts a decent amount of traffic, what are the search trends and how much competition is there for your keywords.

Google keyword tool is very powerful but sometimes it does not create an accurate picture and mean success for a keyword. I have one site at #1 on google with a keyword that got 12,000 local searches but it only got 200 visitors per month. The rest are more representative of the search count. |

| The best way to pick the right keywords are getting the most absolute keywords that best represents and identify your site. Though, we need to put the high traffic keywrods, the first thing that you must consider is the keyword that can identify and represent your website.

We have been using Google keyword tool for quite some time to gather search engine quarries, although recently we have been finding some questionable results we still base our research around their utility but do not necessarily take what they say as fact as Google have been making some questionable moves lately.
