Default Google Delisted?

Hello all. My first post.

I have a question about being delisted by Google. I had a website I spent a lot of time building and then doing on and off page SEO for to build up my search page listing. I guess some of my link tactics were not compatible with Google's idea of natural growth. LOL!

So anyway, this sight was delisted and I can no longer find it when I do a Google search. Does anyone know what I would need to do to get back in good standing with the big G and get my sight back on their search radar?

Just a little side note here or personal commentary: I have had a couple of less than desirable run ins with Google. I am beginning to think that they just do whatever they want no matter what anyone has to say and it gets frustrating at times. It's almost a kin to a monopoly on search with a little totalitarianism thrown in. Anyone else feel this way? Just curious.

Thanks,
Gerald

Do you have an idea why you were penalized? You need to correct whatever the reason was first, then you can request reinclusion.

No, I don't feel that way. I tend to try to stay away from thoughts like that because they aren't helpful. thinking google is a monster or is doing something wrong won't get you back in any sooner. And if I decided that Google was a monster I would find a business where I wasn't dependent on them.

I've been thru the exact same scenerio, learned not to get consumed by it...G- has their own issues to sort out -its not you... When this happens, same 1st thought, possibly went overboard with back linking, or other- too much too quick...been cursed, etc. Not the case...

Most refer to it as the G.-Dance, I call it Panda Food, after launching a new site, or fine tuning a seasoned site "poof"...they vanish. Many folks are calm about it, "just wait", however it is very annoying after a lot of hard work, and effort attempting to do all the right things for optimization and ranking.

I have sites vanish for 1-2 days, 2-3 weeks, and my favorite was over a month, which was my best performing site, great aff. sales , Pg 1, #1. Never clear why....

All my sites have bounced back. The best reason is "I just don't touch them", move forward on other projects, tasks, allow the bouncing to settle.

I found adding new posts helps a bit , 1-2 per week. Continued back linking , nice-steady, nothing dramatic made a difference once they come back.

I'm sure there will be many unique cases and feedback from others, hang in there...

No sorry. Google has no issues to sort out except record profits.

Why do people still believe that google owes them something and cares
personally about some Bo Jacks website?

I don't get it.

It's you. It's not google.

Let me quote the WF SEO FAQ above:

When are you people going to realize that google does not have to like your site,
let alone even index it?

It might be the links I was building, but whenever I would check how many backlinks in Google I had with SEO Quake it always said 0. So I was actually using two backing services, trying to get Google backlinks. One of those was a three way link service, if that matters. My site is a woodworking site so I don't think the content would have gotten me booted.

When I just checked the site with SEO Quake, about a week ago, my PR had gone up to 2. The site was delisted before I noticed the PR change. Maybe they are evaluating it since the PR went up. It was 0 the last time i checked before that and that was probably a month ago.

Thanks,
Gerald

Thanks for sharing your experience. This post makes me feel a little better and even hopeful that the same thing will happen for me. I guess time will tell. It has probably been about month now since I noticed it was delisted. Not sure if that length of time is a sure sign of "hardcore" death or if I should still have hope.

Thanks,
Gerald

Paul,

I don't think I was QQ'ing or complaining about Google not liking my site and that it was all their fault. That is why I asked if anyone had any idea why this happens so I can fix whatever it is that I might have done.

I was merely expressing my frustration with Google as a whole, which I feel I am not alone in that frustration.

And by the way, my name isn't "Bo Jacks". LOL!

Thanks,
Gerald

I am starting to feel better about the possible outcome here.

One thing I did notice was that the day after my site finally made in on page one of google search it was then delisted. It took about a month to get there. So hopefully all will be good soon. <fingers crossed>

Thanks,
Gerald

Another quick question on this:

Can someone report a site to Google that could result in a delisting? If so, how would someone report the site?

Thanks,
Gerald

google never deindex a site for off page seo. If they find artificial links, they just devalue them and do not deindex whole site.

It must be the content that is not according to google's standards. Will you share your url here.

Sure, it is:

ewoodshedplans.com <-- LOL! Can't "officially" post links yet.

Also, one thing I just noticed is I used to have some AdSense text ads that appeared right below the banner on the main home page. Those are no longer there. So I need to look and see what is going on with that.

Thanks,
Gerald

Your site has apparently been delisted by Google (if indeed it was indexed before) and not just dropped in the rankings. It seems also not to be indexed by Yahoo or by Bing. (Is it a new site?).

Well I guess that makes it official. So what in the world did I do to deserver this? LOL! It has been around for about 2 months now. It was indexed before because I was following its page listing almost daily, in Google at least.

So I guess there is no way of finding out the reason behind this huh? I just have to feel my way in the dark? That's not encouraging.

Thanks,
Gerald

Interesting site Alexa.

Check out these results I did as a test:

google.com

Your site does not appear to be indexed in Google.
Your site does not appear to be indexed in Yahoo.
Your site does not appear to be indexed in Bing.

BTW: ewoodshedplans.com IS indexed in Google. Currently Google has 17 pages indexed.

Apparently not, Gerald ...

In spite of the statements from "ismysiteindexed.com" Peter says it is indexed in Google. And some experience of his posts around here tells me that he's going to be right, and that site's going to be wrong. I'm confused ... but sorry if I've misinformed you, there.

ismysiteindexed.com appears to be broken at the moment. Perhaps they haven't been updating the site to keep up to date with the various search engine API's.

It doesn't matter what domain you enter as it reports that it isn't indexed.

On the other hand, maybe that's a crafty marketing ploy to get you to use their services.....

Anyway, you can see for yourself what pages are indexed.

Thank you, Peter.

It did strike me as very strange that the site was apparently not indexed in Yahoo or Bing either, but I still posted before thinking of testing that.

Thanks Peter.

Well at least I know more about this than I did before. So I am ok and maybe the site will reappear after some time.

Thanks,

Hello there. This is exactly what my client is going through. The site is number 5-6 on SERPs and all of the sudden nowhere to be found.

I am continuing doing backlinking and will wait until it bounce back - i hope in a higher ranking... :-)

If you have been keeping a very close eye on your traffic, you might have noticed the amount of traffic going down. You may also have a record of the things that you might have done during this time, something like link submission or some other stuff. That is what is most likely to have you gotten you into trouble.

If the reason of your site not being listed in search results on Google is related to Panda then it will be resolved soon. If this has been done due to some issues related to On-Page optimization, you can contact Google and request them with assurance that you have done the changes according to Google algorithm and it will defintiely work.
