How Would You Backlink This Website?

Hi all,

I asked this on the general board but deleted it because I think it is suppose to go here. I need some advice.

I've been struggling with backlinks. I have several domains that I'm trying to build up as an authority content niche site. By switching to creating more general blogs instead of micro niche sites, I generally have more than one topic on my blog, which presents a backlinking challenge for me.

Let's take this for example. You've probably seen my previous siggie with my Counselor Mom blog on it. It is just a general "mom blog" with coupons, mental health stuff, etc. Let's say that I wanted to rank for the keyword stay at home mom to attract other mothers to my blog. Obviously, stay at home mom is not in my domain name. However, I have a category devoted to that with that keyword in the URL. How could I go about backlinking my domain for that keyword?

Would I leave THAT specific URL in blog comments? For example, I usually respond with Crystal @ Counselor Mom as the comment author. So would i then backlink to THAT URL?

Article marketing is an easy answer. I would put anchor text for that keyword in my resource box.

I think the question I'm trying to get answers to is in regards to anchor text...I'm not a fan of leaving the keyword as the author's name of a blog comment. Besides article marketing...I'm not sure how to rank for that specific keyword...I just don't know how to rank a domain for a keyword without having the keyword in the main domain name and spamming anchor text in profiles (which I don't want to do).

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

ETA: I'm open to backlinking services. I'm trying out BMR right now. I'm very ignorant to what is out there for backlinking. I just heard of Article Marketing Robot this week. So any products ideas would be great as well.
