There are many tools and sites that show backlinks. None of them 100% accurate. By backlinks we generally mean ones that Google have indexed (or they just don't count!). Google them selvbes show only a very small percentage of backlinks they index so are no a good measure. Yahoo used to be accepted as the best available source for backlink data but even then not all backlinks were shown indexed in Yahoo. Yahoo have moved their search systems to Bing (Microsoft) as part of their search alliance and one casualty of that is Yahoo site Explorer. Recently the API was discontinued and, although Yahoo claim to still be supporting site explorer I have notices real decline in the results. MajesticSEO crawl sites in a similar manner to Google and seem to have the best results currently available. They are probably the nearest representation of Googles actual backlink data. I have tested backlinking sites extensively and checking the results on both Yahoo and Majestic (and others) and Majestic consistently produce expected results. So at the end of the day nothing is 100% as only Google know what tey have indexed but MajesticSEO seems to be the current bets measure of backlinks. Whatever you decide yo use make sure you stick to just one as the variations across tools are so dramatic using more than one source will simply confuse your results. |

MajesticSEO.com is far more accurate and can find backlinks created in 24 hours. The difference with all the tools is that each service crawls the web to build their OWN index of backlinks thus every source varies. Ahrefs is also pretty good |
