Default Just Installed A RSS Button What Now :(

Seems to be many advanced rss buttons but just read it should be kept simple use a simple one and not fancy at feedage.com what does mean keep it simple?

So as a new installer of a RSS button on my site, who is reaching out the homeowners market offline what steps in some order would you take to use a new RSS on my blog effectively.

You make sure your RSS button is in a place where it's easily seen, and is of a suitable size and that's it really.

If your visitors want to subscribe to your site they'll click the button and add your feed to their chosen aggregator.

By keeping it simple it means not one with all of the fancy graphics, just a plain and simple orange and white square box with rounded corners. It should be easy to find but not distracting from the rest of the page.

The RSS box is only there as a way of retaining repeat visitors once they've been to your site not a way of generating new traffic.
