Default 2 Questions from a Noobie

I have 2 quick questions. I'm just getting into niche sites and micro niche sites along with a couple authority sites. My questions are more related to niche/micro niche sites.

1. Is it too late to get into the niche site market and do well with affiliate marketing, adsense, etc.? I feel very late to the game.

2. If it's not too late, all the backlinking strategies I read involve spending lots of money (i.e. UAW, thebestspinner, BMR, Blog Blueprint, etc., etc.). Is it possible to get a Google Page 1 niche just by submitting unique articles to a few article directories (ezine,go, etc.), setting up a few free blogs (blogger, wordpress), setting up squiddo or hubpages, and social bookmarking? Can anyone refer me to a better backlinking strategy then what I've mentioned?

I just put up my first niche site and it took me 3 weeks just to figure everything out and I still feel clueless. With Google taking forever to index pages, etc. it's pretty discouraging.

I apologize in advance if these questions get asked a lot. I've been reading non-stop for the past 3 weeks and I still have these 2 basic questions that I can never get fully answered.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It's not too late to get into affiliate / niche marketing / adsense sites. Definitely not. I don't think it's going to be disappearing anytime soon and there are a lot of new products coming out regularly.

As for backlinking, any real 'money keywords' for affiliate marketing will generally require some sort of advanced backlinking strategies.

Just putting up a few ezinearticles, go articles, weeblys, and squidoo's are not going to get you a top spot in google anymore. It's sad but true.

Any decent keywords that you want to earn money from are going to require a bit of effort and quite frankly, doing it without tools of some sort will not be very easy.

i think niche market is very very wide, i mean everything can be "niche" if you use more 3 words search in search engine, so it never too late to join in affiliate marketing.

Hi,

Its never too late to go into any niche or market...but there are chances that the product you promote may be outdated and the only way is to know is testing...

There are many ways which you can build backlinks free but it takes longer time...what you have said earlier is using software which cost you a bit more but save time...I would suggest you take a look in this forum and test out those free methods...once you have a small income, you can use those software to cut down on your timing and build more sites..

Hope this helps

New businesses and niches are being added on a large number of terms so it's never too late to go into any niche market. The sciope and niche of everything is large and can easily accomodate you. All you have to do is work hard to get there among the best.

Yeah I can definitely relate to you when I was first getting started!

I can promise you that is is definitely NOT to late as I am finding new niches to get into all of the time! There will always be opportunities so never say it's too late!

Also, there are many cheap ways you can outsource backlinks and also many free ways to get backlinks if you're doing it yourself such as what you mentioned.

But it's also important to remember to check your competition as some very competitive niches can take a very long time to get a respectful ranking in Google and some others can be achieved within days or weeks if you find the right keyword!
