not much taffic

i have a site which ahs 18 good relevant backlinks and unique content but i only get about 10 visits per day. it is about 8months old.
how long should i wait before i should see 1000 visitors to my site daily?

That depends on how much time you invest and the quality of the work you do. TBH 18 links is very,very few for a site that is 8 months old. You could start by building a few links and adding some new content to the site. There are many other things that you could/should do but I won't repeat them for the 1000th time now.

You should also look after the keywords you are targetting: Get they enough searches per month? like the ohters said: do some onsite and offside seo and this will increase your traffic. search the forum or google to get some good tip for metioneed topics.

You have lot of work to get to 1000 visitors per day. Social traffic is real fast in getting results. SEO will take time. Go for lots of keywords, make your site a authority site, have unique content and build links.

Content is still the king, more content with good keywords witch people are searching for and spread that on the web, Apart from other suggestions, create videos by putting title of the videos with the keywords and use keywords in the description and submit to YouTube and other free video hosting services. Spread your keyword rich content on the web to get more traffic. Use free analytics tools to optimize your content with the keywords which are bringing more traffic. For organic traffic you really need to work hard but at end the reward is great. Please remember that “You don’t have to be on the first page of Google for long tail keywords or as a matter of fact for any keyword”, if you have spread your content on the web and you will get your share of the traffic.
