nofollow do follow is just a big hype. Back links is a backlinks and acts as an authority to your site.

Gotta disagree here. I'd much rather have a tool instantly show the status of a link as opposed to having to dig through the source code.

There are many ways to chek it. For example, you could just find your link on "page source" and check if it's marked as "nofollow"

Regardless if it's no-follow or not.... It's always good to mix them up as it helps to add link diversity to your backlink profile.

Before, those no-follow backlinks could actually bring up direct traffic... Especially if you make a QUALITY comment on a QUALITY Blog.

Just add the " nodofollow " addons for firefox. This will help to differentiate which is nofollow and dofollow. Otherwise right click the link --> properties. A pop-up window will show you the details of the links.

Right click the page and go to view source. Hit Ctrl+F and type in the link you are searching for. If you see a no follow tag (i.e. "rel="nofollow") then it is a nofollow link.

Yes agreed, no follow links do not hurt the ranking of a website. No follow links are simply not useful to increase the rank of a website. If you want to increase the ranking of your website than start collecting do-follow links.

Ones check other comment link and if you are using firefox then just check page source(crt+u)... you may find <a href="nofollow" ......> so its nofollow link but keep doing it because now google also consider nofollow link for website popularity...

But first you have to know the difinition of dofollow & nofollow.
Dofollow Blog:
A dofollow blog allows search engine spiders to crawl the site and follow the link. If you comment on a dofollow blog, a backlink will be created so search engine spiders will crawl your link back to your site & it brings SEO benefits for your site.

Nofollow Blog:
Nofollow blog is complete opposite of Dofollow blog. It doesn’t allow search engine spiders to crawl site and follow the link. If you comment on a nofollow blog, search engine spiders will not crawl your link and will not follow your link back to your site & it brings no benefit on SEO for your site. So it is useless to comment on nofollow blogs.
If you build your site with wordpress you can easily make your site dofollow. You need to install a plugin – sem-dofollow.

Google the no dofollow 1.5 for the latest version, by the way nofollow links are red and dofollow links are blue when using this add-on. Another firefox extenion good for seeing no follow links is SearchStatus and another way to to check the source code of the webpage then you can see in the link itself if it has a nofollow attribute attached.

nofollow will only help you to get traffic for your site. unlike do follow links , it can help you on your rankings. You should do both. no follow for traffic and do follow links for serp
