Does Squeeze page + Auto-content blog work for adwords?

I want to promote a squeeze page on adwords. I've been told I need to put up a link to a blog so that google allows me to promote the squeeze. If I make an auto-content blog, will that work for adwords?

I don't think that anything relates to "auto-content" blog will work! With "auto-content" blog you are copying other site's content or you are copying from shallow article directories. The success rates for these kind of online businesses are very low...

I am using AdWords to capture leads (for offline businesses) - name, address, email, phone, etc. The AdWords landing page is on a WP blog and the page was essentially a rewrite of another page on my site that had converted well thru organic traffic. That whole blog is an auto-blog - using some "uniquification" tools you can find on the Warrior Forum - and the original page was scraped from an article directory.

My CPC for the AdWords ad was approx 1/3 of the Google estimated CPC - so I am paying $0.15 instead of their estimated $0.45 (I have gotten it as low as $0.07). My position was typically 1, 2, or 3. My CTR was above 5% most of the time. And the conversion on the landing page varied from 10% to 20% depending on what tweaks to the ad and landing page I was testing at the time.

The traffic turned out to be poor quality leads so the ads/landing page/etc were constantly being tweaked. The campaign is still running with a CPC below $0.10 and CTR above 3% but it is running at about 5% of its potential spend so I don't overwhelm anyone with the volume of bad leads.

I am currently building my own form to sit between the visitor and my client in order to better filter the bad leads. However, there is no doubt in my mind that the visitors will fill out just about any form I put in front of them - that seems to be the nature of the traffic on this particular keyword, i.e. most aren't bothering to read the page at all.

So I think, for the right ad/landing page/keyword combo you can get cheap traffic from AdWords. And you can get traffic to fill in your squeeze form. The quality of that traffic may or may not be any good that depends on the keyword.

That's been my experience over the past several months.

I'm just thinking out-loud.. maybe you managed to tweak your LP so well that you're getting great conversion rates. You should test it with other keywords to see if thats actually true.

Ryan Deiss recently gave away a free LP which had proven to maintain a conversion rate above 50% I believe across all the niches he tested it. You might have found yourself a Gold nugget too.

Has anyone seen Squeeze Boss? The concept is quite nice but it has a auto-blogging side to it too, and the developer claims he has managed to get page 1 rankings on Google several times with it.

I haven't come across a warrior yet to verify the claim, or share similar experiences though.
