so if I have a total of 50 links in the form of a pyramid, how does it compare to 50 links directly to the money site? Does all the link juice get passed down or is some of it lost?

Directing all the links to just your money site will still work, but won't be as effective. Pointing links at links that go to your money site is great because it helps the other links get indexed better and this gives the links that point to your site more authority.

Pointing links directly to your site is good for getting indexed quickly though

Yea, well I know what a link pyramid is but my question in the original post was whether all the link juice is passed down or not

I don't really understand it in great detail either, but from what I endlessly read on this forum is that the link juice is certainly passed down....and in much greater strength.

Well, if i underhand that is all about link quality if these 50 links are theme base then you can point to money website and if these are do follow definitely it will pass link juice to money website, other wise you should point these link to supporting website.

You are thinking too much into this.

To answer your question, it is always better to have a varied link structure, and link juice is passed down to your money site in a link pyramid.

Stop worrying about if some of your link juice is lost if you build a link pyramid instead of just pointing to your main site. In a perfect world, you would be building way more than 50 links for most keywords.

All you really need to know is that you need to have as many different links as possible. If you are going for a competitive keyword, you need to have a varied link structure (link pyramid).

But I wonder why there are so many different terms such this one - link pyramid...

Can you elaborate on how this thing done? Or is this the same as link building?

the purpose of pyramid builds backlinks to your money site looks more natural to google...some of them are using web2.0 and most likely google trust them so will not slap them...and all the web2.0 pages come from different ip address so google will not penalized you..

you are most welcome...there are many theories about it but the most important of such linking is you need to test it out yourself..

the basic is there..and you can always change it to suits your style...
