Default Privacy and Policy + Contact Pages

Are the "Privacy & Policy" and "Contact us" pages mandatory for Google AdSense sites?
What happens if you don't have such pages on your site?
You get your ass banned or what?

If they are mandatory, is there a common template that I can download to get these pages on my site?

I also understand that it is forbidden and against the rules to show AdSense ads on these two pages?

No, it's not mandatory.

I just got my Adsense payout today, and I don't have either one of those things on my sites.

However, if you are linking to sites they might consider adult or anything like that, it's probably a good idea to have a sort of "Disclaimer" at the bottom of the home page, stating that your site does not host any of the questionable material.

It states in the Adsense Terms of Service that you must have a Privacy Policy page.

Well I dont have one and I've made payout every month, no holds

But, if you are that worried about it, here ya go. Free adsense privacy policy generator.

http://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/

I think the reason I've had no problems is because I don't sell anything, I don't collect any information from my visitors, etc.

People get all bent out of shape about privacy policy.
You are helping google by putting one. They do make
it mandatory, but it's a lost cause. That's why they
now include one in the ads...

Yes, I do have them. I don't bother on blogspot. Blogspot
has one and that should cover it.

Google does not get a burr up their butts for no privacy policy.
People think they get banned for not having one, but that's
just a cop out. They don't want to admit or are just naive as
to the major violation(s) they have going.

Why would you need a contact page? For what? If you are
selling something, it's good for visitors. I sure don't want most
people contacting me...that's for dang sure.

OMG, tell me you don't believe that!

The Adsense "Privacy Policy" is mandatory!

You just havn't got caught yet, you getting a check has nothing to do with your sites not having a "Privacy Policy". I bet your site wouldn't pass a manual review without one.

It takes maybe 5min. to create/upload a "Privacy Policy", why wouldn't you do that?

And as previously stated by others, Ad Choices has a built in privacy policy.

OH: And BTW, I just read your source link.

it doesn't mention anything about a privacy policy on that page

Yes it is mandatory. And I stated I had them.
I would not do a site without them, just because I
like to follow all the rules.

But it's a rule with a little r.

The reason I was so smug, is because one of the first
things people say when they get banned here is,

"Gee...I had a privacy policy...so I followed all the rules"
Or..."I guess I was banned for no privacy policy."

People seem to think that a privacy policy makes or breaks a site.
No. It's major violations.

To reiterate, Privacy Policy IS necessary. I use the Easy Privacy Plugin. Takes less than a minute to set up, and it works really well.

Really, you read the source link?

I've quoted the source, I provided a link to the source, & now a screenshot of the source. What's next, a registered letter from Google?

Now, you can twist this, discard it, wrap it up as a present, beat the neighbors dog with it, I don't really care. I have my privacy policy in the footer of every single web page that I own, that alone took maybe 5min. per site.

I think my next site will be a bumper sticker site that sells one sticker "Lifes to short for Privacy Policies!"

Where do you post the generated Privacy & Policy data?
I mean, are there any requiremets about the name of the page, its title and its WordPress slug?

Since it's not difficult to build those three pages, why don't you add them to your website? I mean, just in case. And if you don't know how to build those pages, you can check those websites who have one, they are all similar.
