Fellow Warriors, Nowadays, I had noticed that, it takes more time to get results on Google, (SERP). Obviously, I am using same kind of strategies as I used to use early days - That really worked fast those days, but now it is not. It is obvious now that Google makes SEO guys' work more hard and improves it's quality. However, I had seen, there are guys who are still following black-hat methods getting success too, no idea how they are working around. But, still those black-hat methods may give penalty on long term. Okay, What kind of SEO strategies (Off-Site) which you guys mostly adopt? I usually go for massive article marketing like article submissions, blogging and etc along with forums and profile creations (Our Angela's methods) and etc. Share your thoughts on your experience on getting results, Don't say it is usual , I know it is usual, But, I said, it requires more effort these days compare to the days back where we need to put comparatively less effort... |

| . True, it does require more effort these days. More IMers are coming on board, more pages are being created, more backlinkings are being done by those who already have sites, etc. So, definitely, more effort is going to be exerted. On getting results? I simply do MORE of what already works, ![]() Kingsley . |

My answer seems to be autoresponders. I send a lot of regular mailings to everyone I can. I set up autoresponders with newsletters and other types of mailings. Samples of things I'm selling, etc. Without my mailings, I'd be in big trouble. The rest.... I've done everything I can think of and my rankings are not going up much. But the videos have gone a long way for improving my conversion rate. |

I've found that blogging really makes a huge difference. It doesn't necessarily give direct results like the methods you mentioned, but it really pays off in the long run. I've been focusing lately on delivering extremely high quality content. From what I've heard from friends at Google, they are constantly improving their algorithms to determine the good content from the poorly written. |

Its all about adapting and overcoming. SEO is constantly changing, so if you are stuck in your old ways, its going to stop working. Lately, the big time authority links are what are working for me. It has been worth my time to annoy the crap out of bloggers that have big domain authority sites and me offering to do guest blog posts. Those are worth way more to me than a bunch of crappy links. |

A method that I know was used by my friend is by placing short text ads in classified section in the local news paper. The ads will be directed to a squeeze page or sales page that have opt in with it. Capture the leads. Provide any ebook or report or whatever with value to the people opting in. Then, you have a new fresh leads hunger for information or anything that you can offer...you can also blast this list and direct them to your site or blog etc... What about that... |

yes it is not easy become number 1 in SERP and also new Google+ will affect our website rank. Right now i still optimize OFF/ON SEO strategies and using Google+ and FB likes to increase SERP.

To add on...if we manage to get SERP #1 for let say google.com, what about google.co.uk or google.co.id or google local search engine result in other countries... It is tough... i know because I've been strugling with my niche site to get this rank to the top... I always use hidemyass.com to double check my rank in SERP from various countries because it will hide our ip add.... |

Yes it is tough... You may survive or may slightly survive... With Google changing its algorithm once in a while.....oh...it's going to be tough... However, if you have a strong backlink strategy....and strong network...maintain continuous legitimate back links on monthly basis, use the correct keyword with high demand and low competition...i still think it is possible to win the SERP... |

It is always an ongoing battle for us SEOs, Google alters their algorithms constantly to shake things up and ensure websites aren't artificially ranking with methodical SEO techniques. Since the Panda shakeup there is been a strong focus on high quality content, so if you content is of excellent quality or if your visitors don't like it (hit the back button straight away) your site can suffer. In the end, cutting edge SEO and high quality content wins. |

A few months ago, I saw the effect of making social bookmarking links in my rankings the same day, now nothing. What I have noticed is if I publish a lot, that really helps, so I write long, high quality blog posts on my site whenever I can. Unless you can get authority back links, it's mostly about everything on the page these days. After the first two months of my site, 90% of my traffic is still coming from social sites like Twitter, and the sites that brings like Social Whale, twitturls.org, powertweet.me, TweetMeMe, and stuff like that.

I think the best way to go is to get a good squeeze page, buy cheap traffic, and get email subscribers. Build trust, and sell to the list, and hopefully keep them as repeat customers, or referrals, or viewers, although I've only just started doing that, and I don't have much money to put into it, but if that's what you focus on, and you do it consistently, and well, I'm sure it would work over time, regardless of what Google was doing.

Now days I try to get links from actual authority sites, not just high pr pages, I think of these as stabilizing links to have and prevent you from dancing in the serps, so then you can add more and more other types of links with positive effects.

I don't have an idea of how they work with their websites before. But I think SEO in the present time needs more effort and quality work. But being practical is a good way of getting high ranking through working on things that really matter the most. And of course, spending some time experimenting and exploring new techniques give more advantage. Base on my experience, there are no fixed methods or techniques to stick with, because we are more likely relying on search engines and their updates. |

Mainly I depend on article sharing and forum posting. Guest blog posting is very useful now a days. I do not use any black hat technique and make all the links manually. Manual backlinks are more powerful than automated backlinks.

With more people competing to get a good listing, and more awareness of the search engines' algorithms-SEO is harder now. But, it is still a goal worth pursuing-you just have to be better than your competitors.

I do guest blogging on topically relevant sites. This seems to comply with everything Google Panda update wanted in quality. The articles are 100% unique for each blog. Over time I get on more and more powerful blogs.

It seems like creating your own blog network is the way to go nowadays. Social links / mentions also seem to have a direct correlation with rankings.

Without trying to blow my own trumpet here, I am not suffering too much at all from all of Google's changes. In fact I am having quite the opposite response. Many of my sites where in competitive markets against the usual affiliates, however since google is clamping down, I have found my sites have climbed. I own plenty of sites myself, but I am thinking of starting a network for people who also want top results, any opinions would be welcomed. I am not going to give the strategy away in this post, but If I have enough people interested then I will work a little harder on it. I used to teach Advanced SEO a few years ago, and to be honest many of the white hat does still work but people are all following the same path, this is why I still have the edge to some degree because knowing and implementing are two different things. Best regards Arran Wood |

So as long as any SEO is using ethical techniques for website optimization, Google won't bother them at all. But when big spammers mess in, Google has to do something to give visitors a good user/search experience. Just my two cents. For the SEO becoming hard these days. Same goes to it as well. It's simple: More websites = More load for search engines More load = More SPAM to control More SPAM = More liability to manage/handle SPAM More liability = More "unique" ways to distinguish SPAM & Quality sites Google updates its algo only to make sure that only qualifying sites gets to visitors instead of hundreds of spammy/automated sites. Hope it helps. | |

| SEO honestly isn't as hard as a lot of people are making it out to be. Do quality, solid on page SEO BEFORE you do off page SEO and you will do quite fine. Most of my pages will end up within the first couple of pages of google with JUST on pages SEO efforts. I would say about 60% of my pages/posts make it to the first page with just on page SEO efforts. Then I work on getting it to the first page, that is, if it is not already there. Then I work to get to the top 3 spots. I add content to all my websites EVERYDAY; along with proper deep linking makes for some killer on site SEO. I use places like hootsuite to automate some social bookmarking for an initial boost and to get the page quickly indexed ( to make the bookmarking seem more natural, I add in an RSS of a popular relevant site or 2, so that I get bookmarks from other places than just my own websites). My pages are all indexed from within a few mins to a couple of hours. Yes, SEO takes a little elbow grease, but if you actual do it consistently you will find that it is not all that scary. Oh, and another thing, STOP going after the impossible keywords, or at least the keywords that will take you pretty much forever to rank for. -- Jeff |

Well, it is great to see you guys make the threat rocks ![]() I always stick with blogging and article marketing - That really helps but, always it requires some other combinations too, like blog commenting, profile link building and etc. But over all, I had noticed, the required effort is more compare to previous year, the reason may be Google gets more clever and clever as board is filled up with boys & girls with 'black-hat' rather than 'white-hat' ![]() People who wear Black-hat give challenges to Google, as a result, Google gives challenge to people who wear white-hat. It is not fair my dear bigggg Mr.G, what do you guys say? Quote:
