I just launched a site with 50+ pages all having google adsense on them. Does anybody have any rough metrics or guestimates of how many clicks one can expect from a certain number of page impressions (instances when the javascript loads for the ads)? I am getting several impressions per day but so far no clicks. I am now working on traffic. Is there a standard (or acceptable) expectation or ratio of of impressions to clicks? thanks, Ritchie |

I always work on my ad placement and style until I see a MINIMUM 5% CTR on my sites. Then if I have time, I'll continue tweaking until I have 7+%.

How do you get such high CTR? I've been experimenting with left vs right sidebars but have only been at it for 2 weeks now. I have a feeling that the left sidebar might be better for CTR but what's your take on it?
