Hey guys, I think I've gotten to the point where I can sufficiently research and create targeted sites with good, relevant content that deliver good Adsense ads. I know that it takes some time to make such a site, and I'm interested in creating them to sell on Flippa; the question is, are people still buying $100 sites these days? I'm not talking about crap sites, but well written sites with ten or so pages of unique (non-spun) content. Let me know your experience. Thanks! |

My experience with flippa is that your monetization history does not matter as much as your google serps.

Oh my Adsense sites are selling like hot cakes on Flippa. Everyone wants sites which are already making cash to add to their portfolio's. And remember most people don't know how to build sites and especially don't know proper SEO so they just buy the ones on Flippa where it's been done for them already. |

Hey guys, Thank you for your thoughts. I've got a pretty good formula that works, on the whole, well for me, for building sites. Maybe I'll also try my hand at making some up for sale. As for preexisting SERPs positions, how about "brand new" sites that aren't ranked yet, but have excellent on-page SEO and good content? Cheers, thanks again! |

If you're trying to sell sites that are built, have content, but are not ranked/earning, you're in for a rough experience I think. There are MANY people that can target a keyword and build out a site...but the trick is targeting the RIGHT keywords, getting the sites ranked, and getting proof of income history. There are MANY sellers that are selling sites that aren't ranked and without earnings, so the competition is stiff. If you take the extra couple of months and get them ranked/earning, you're separating yourself from all of those that can't do that and you'll earn a much better premium for your sites. The further along you take the sites, the less competition there are from sellers, because it's simply harder to build out sites that earn. |

Agree with TryBPO. Buyers on Flippa are a discerning bunch. Most would want to see actual earning, traffic and ranking before making a bid. 'Proven' (instead of 'Potential') results will attract more attention and higher price. You might make money by selling a lot of these new ready-made sites at cheap prices. Some IMers buy these sites, improve them (in term of SEO) and flip them again on Flippa. New sites are still worth their unique, pre-written content. That said, Adsense sites are still hot today as they are easier to run and have reliable revenues. Give it a try and see what crowd you can attract. Good luck! |

What if the site is ranked but is only a PR0 or PR1? And does the site really have to have earnings before it will sell? And do dot info sites sell as well? Thinking of going into flipping sites on flippa but don't know anything about it.

Hey guys, Thanks for your thoughts. I agree, I too would want to buy an established site, even if it only had a month's revenue and was ranking well. I suppose I'll have to build up my portfolio, then, but I'll post back if I had success selling something "hot off the press" with no earnings yet. Most of my sites are PR2, but I would invest in a site if it was good, ranked well and had proven earnings, regardless of the PR. I wouldn't shy away from .info sites if the site in question was doing well. Cheers |
