Site linking, silos, deep linking I'm confused. See my diagram...

Site structure, look at this diagram I'm confused...

So I have the basic understanding of a silo structure.

I'd like to know:

1. Must every page be in a category/silo? For example I might have 10 pages or post that are only one click away from the home page that are not in a category folder.

2. Are you allowed to have a category within a category or said differently a silo within a silo? The reason I ask is that there are niches within niches.

3. If you can have silo's within silo's. How many layers or how deep can you go?

I mean you could go down quite a few layers of categorys. But I think they say that you need to be like 2-3 clicks away from the home page. Any more and those other pages are too deep, right?

You can make it anyway you feel like,but most important factor is you don't make any duplicate content.
