Page Impressions v Unique Visitors Difference

Hi Everyone

I created a site recently and there seems to be a big difference with the numbers between google page impressions through adsense and what I see as unique visitor stats on my cpanel via awstats. For example at the moment uv's is around 40 per day and my page impressions show around 7.

Can anyone explain why this might be?

anyone out there, someone must have an idea. My posts must be really dull for which I apologise because whenever I post here no one replies. I just can't get my head around what may be happening.
