Quick Question

I have a quick generic question and I want to see if someone may have an answer or maybe provide a little insight. For this question we have 100 web sites:

All 100 websites are used to create link wheels and are interlinked to one another accordingly

All 100 sites are indexed by google, yahoo and bing.

all 100 sites have varying PR, say 0-3

all sites are up and running and the world is a happy, joyful place.

BAM! google update

all 100 sites deindexed in google

sites still show indexed in yahoo and bing

HERES THE QUESTION:

if a site is deindexd in google but is till indexed in yahoo and bing can the 100 sites still be effective for link wheels?
