Default Review Sites.. Still OK After Panda Update?

Is it still wise to produce a amazon review/sale site since the latest Panda update? Seems unless you write the product description yourself google may not want you in the system with this type of site.

Im not doing it by autobloggin ways but how much will these sites even count anymore in the searches? What if I was a storefront and I used the manufactors own words for a description that was on the box (not doing so just an example) how would google look at that for that store?

Seems maybe google is trying to get rid of store sites all together but how do you work WITH them so there is a happy medium?

You should build valuable site where the visitor goes: WOW!

The content should be completely unique.

You can use content from datafeeds sparingly but for the most part your content should be yours.

I think this goes for every single website.

I know all about original content. My main point was on an amazon site or a review site where a lot of times the info pulled is from amazon and google may see that as dup content....Can you still maintain a good amazon site with the Panda roll out?

How do you know that Google is going to penalize you for Dup content? There are so any sites out there that have other Dup content and it appears that Google cannot even keep up. We have had our site content stolen, exactly word for word, on another site and nothing ever happened except I wrote the webmaster an email and reported it to Google and nothing happened, so I can only suspect you will be fine with your site, it you have to make content changes make the changes, otherwise go for it.

This is a bit off-topic, but when your content is stolen it's almost always an automated process from a scraper site which means your article is NOT edited whatsoever. If you include an internal anchor text link in each of your posts (links to the page it's found on your site) then when other people steal your content you will at least get an in-content anchor text backlink. People WILL steal your content so you may as well have them build backlinks for you too

A solidly built review site will still be fine even after Panda. It's fine pulling in reviews & products directly from Amazon but offer your visitors even more than that. Also, how are you promoting the site? If you've got some solidly written articles out there or have done some video marketing that will give your site credit too. You probably will see a lot of your autoblogged competition drop though which is good news for you if you've spent the time to build a solid useful site and are providing a good experience for your visitor.

Here is the best way to build an Amazon or any type of website Post-Panda and get high rankings.

1. 100% Unique Content
2. Page Content should be a minimum of 1000 words - 2400 is best
3. Have 4-6 images throughout the page.
4. Site should be at least 10 pages of content
5. Have lots of links within the content of the page going to other pages on your site like Wikipedia does
6. Have a video on the page
7. Make sure you have contact us/privacy policy, ect
8. Create a Facebook fan page and new Twitter Account for the site and buy fans and twitter followers. Place Twitter follower button on site and Facebook fan box on site for social proof

Every page should have these factors for best results. I've been doing lots of testing on these new Post-Panda factors and found that it's dramatically easier to get my sites to page 1 of Google. It's almost like Google has "on page" factors making up 50% of the ranking factor now. Backlinks used to be 90% how you rank. Now I don't think so. Onpage content/ Backlinks = 50/50.

Using the 50/50 approach, I'm ranking keywords that get 10,000 searches per month to page 1 of Google.
