So I'm trying to rank for a keyword with a KW1-KW2-KW3(dot)com domain that is 10 years old (godaddy auctions) The keyword has 8100 exact searches per month and there is a competitor with the same domain but .org sitting at number 2. The competitor has 4 (rubbish) backlinks, is pr 0 and only has 5 posts but is somewhat optimized for the keyword. Now heres the thing. He has each post translated into loads of languages so he's got about 200 pages indexed of what I think is the same 5 posts in different languages Would the amount of pages indexed be a big factor in the serps or do you think I can rank easily? |

I would say go for it. The amount of pages indexed only plays a small part in the SERPs, but backlinks are more important. Since he only has 4 backlinks, and his page is actually pr0, you'll be able to easily outrank him in no time.

If he only has 4 backlinks roll with it, make sure the content you have got is optimized perfectly and hit it with some links. You'll be above him before you know it. |
