Default How to remove F bomb generated by Search Term Tagging plugin

I have an adsense site with wordpress platform. I installed Search Term Tagging2 on in to begin with. In the settings I did not put the F word in the block bad word box (stupid me, I didn't look--assuming it was there already).
I just saw one of my pages having at the bottom of it under the heading Incoming Search Terms for this Article there is a search term with the F word included. So far in the settings:

1)I have put the F word into the blocked box.
2)I typed the term into the Delete Search Terms box (the search term with the F bomb is now gone from setting page. The system says it is no longer in the database).
3)Disabled the plugin.

But the thing is still on the page. I usually use firefox, I went to IE and the thing is at the bottom of the page there still!! Does anybody know how to get rid of this short of deleting the page?

thanks,

Ritchie

PS- No widgets are involved. The plugin automatically prints the search terms onto the bottom of the page.

Are you using a caching plugin by any chance?

LeviiStar,
Yes I am using WP Super Cache. If this is it, is there a way to clear it out?

thanks,

Ritchie

There should be. If you take a look at the WP Super Cache plugin settings there should be an option to deactivate and then manually clear the cache. Then you can check the site, make sure the search terms have been removed and then turn the plugin back on.

From experience though, I've found Hyper Cache to be the best caching plugin. I had some issues with server loads a while back and the difference between WP Super Cache and Hyper Cache was crazy. Plus, Hyper Cache has a 1-click 'clear cache' button for moments just like this.

For WordPress cache plugin comparison:

(Obviously, replace the *'s. )

1) Turn the cache OFF

2) Clear browser history

3) Turn the cache ON

4) Done...

BTW, STT2 is awesome!

It really is! My traffic exploded when I first discovered it. It's important to customize your settings though. If you run a search for "Incoming Search Terms" you can easily find sites that are using the STT2 plugin, work out their target keywords and then worm your way into their niche. Although I guess the same could be done through simply studying the websites content.. Hm. Disregard.

LeviiStar,
Yes, I have found a few jewels from looking at the sources of competitors--many times using yahoo site explorer for getting backlinks competitors are using. There are a lot of lesser known sources to get backlinks there.

I emailed the designer of the search term tagging and he simply reiterated about putting the bad word into the block box and then saving. I had done that. Funny thing, when I went back to the page in question the term was/is gone (now). Whatever of my machinations worked, it took awhile for the thing to work its way out.

thanks,

Ritchie
