Need some insight in getting traffic?

I had my website www.lifesgreatquotes.com ranked on page 2 for a high keyword, because I was linking to my youtube vlog. Ever since I stopped vlogging and linking I have moved down drastically. I lost my adsense account, but just finally got it back, Im ready to continue working on this site's content and link building.

Other than forums I have no ideas in my head how to get good backlinks. How do I move my site up in rankings ASAP?
