What is the use of alexa rank? How is it good for our site? How can we make good rank in it? |

Alexa rank does not help in any form when it comes to ranking. I heard that there are softwares' that will allow you to increase alexa rank but i have never tried.

Alexa rank is only important if you want to sell ads directly and want to prove to the advertisers how much traffic your site has. Of course there are other methods that are far better but since alexa rank is visible for everybody, some people use it to get a first idea. You can improve it by placing an alexa widget on your site. Without the widget, just people that have the alexa toolbar installed will be counted so the alexa rank tends to improve a lot with a widget.

good alexa usually means more traffic thats all..it does not affect your ranking as far as I am concerned...drive more traffic using SEO and your alexa will also go up

A lesser-known trick is to include their tracker image on your page. Normally only people with the Alexa Toolbar are counted for their statistics. But with a tracking image on your website, every visitor counts. |

Alexa can easily be manipulated. Check out my blog, I've just gave an update of an experiment I'm running on my site. Oh, I don't think Alexa is worth anything just for the record! |
