Hey guys, I have a few affiliate sites, some make money, some don't and I am thinking now on start building many sites with content which will not be affiliate sites, but they will be sites that will focus on making money from Adsense. In your own experience today, do Adsense sites today still work? Can you still make decent money using Adsense from sites with good content? Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions as well, thinking of building several sites of content on various niches... Thank you! |

If Google is showing relevant ads then Adsense still works. You do not need to run Adsense all over your pages or site to make them profitable. On some websites I have taken good content and then selected certain pages to include Adsense. Results have been good. Site does not look like an "Adsense site" but still makes decent money. . |

I think that AdSense is nice to monetize existing blogs or forums but I don't think that it is worth the effort to create new sites especially for AdSense. There is much much more money in affiliate marketing and you also will be able to earn more in a shorter amount of time. Correct me if I am wrong, but AdSense has never been creating more than three figure amounts per month for me.

I don't mean that the site will be blasted with adsense ads but that the site will have good content on a specific subject or niche and will have adsense ads here and there....the purpose will be making money from adsense.

If you have good content and traffic, it is easy to make money with adsense. It is one of the easiest ways to make money online, but if you don't know how to drive traffic to the site, it can take forever to get any serious traffic to the site. I have a six page adsense site that I haven't touched in years, and it still makes decent money every month. So....yes....adsense sites are still effective! |

I see it this way - affiliate sites you're supposed to warm your visitor into buying your product and it's not that easy and also you don't know if he'll buy.... Adsense is free for him, people surf and browse the site so the chances for clicking an adsense ad than actually purchasing a product is much higher....so many content sites with adsense ads have more chances to make money than affiliate sites....psychologically speaking of-course.

There are many factors at work that will determine if you can or will make money with adsense: - layout of your site - niche you have chosen - relevant ads on site - traffic to your site Those I would think are some of the most important factors to think about when creating a site that will be monetized with adsense. There are of course breakdowns for each of those things; what they mean exactly; how you go about doing it, etc. -- Jeff |

I prefer adsense sites over affiliate marketing. Something about affiliate landing pages that BLAST you with hype and amazing results with a "please buy!!!" attitude don't appeal to me. Especially when I try and exit the page and a pop up says WAIT! Don't leave just yet! So annoying. |

I've come across sites (while doing research for specific keywords for articles) that happened to have targeted my chosen keyword and registered it as a TLD. In some cases, the content was such garbage (poor English, or simply appearing as badly spun content) that I left the site right away. I feel that people should find their strongest writing style and go with it, tailoring it to their niche/topic. For example, I understand that I'm pretty lousy at writing compelling sales or review copy for particular products, so I stay away from affiliate marketing, though I'm sure I could improve in that regard. On the other hand, I'm a decent writer when it comes to informative articles, especially about health, fitness and medical concerns, as well as products that are of interest to me - so I apply that when I create my content, and it is increasingly serving me well. Can't write well or don't speak your target language as a first language? Find a good content writer who does. Start with a small number of articles if you need to, and once profiting, outsource more content. Anyhow, just my thoughts on it. Cheers

Using Adsense on a blog or forum will give you incredibly low CTR rates. Build a great informational site with Adsense as the main monetization platform, and your CTR/earnings will be a lot higher. Of course, there are other niches where it makes more sense to be an affiliate, and that's why I have other sites that are exclusively promoting Amazon or CB products, too. Never want to put ALL of your eggs in one basket, right? All in all - I'm a big fan of Adsense though, just because of how easy it is. Setup a website, rank it and all it needs is a little maintenance here and there to earn continuous cash. I'm slowly building up passive income each month that eventually will serve as my base income, giving me more time to start up other ventures and earn even more. So yeah - Adsense is definitely still effective today

That is my plan so I guess we're all in the same state of mine, I appreciate your help a lot and hope to make good money with adsense... bhuff85 and Nathy - can I ask you how much you're making from adsense now? From the sites I have, I make a total of about $300 per month give or take, that is why I want to build more sites that will be more content sites and have adsense ads here and there...make money from them with adsense... Thank you... |
