I realize the title was badly worded. I was considering buying multiple exact match foreign domains because of how fast they would rank in google. However, it occurred to me that people in their countries might not use their version of google (I am pretty sure more people in , say, cambodia would type in google.com) This would erase my advantage Does anyone have any information on this? Do a high percent of people in foreign countries use their google? |

Try google keyword tool and change the settings of the "local searches" to the country you want to check.

I live in Thailand as an expat and I use Google U.S. but all the Thai's I see on the net use the Thai version of google. I would think that most users in any country would use the country specific google except for webmasters.
