Hey guys, I posted this in another thread too, but figured some of you might find this really interesting. This is the official Patent that Google registered, detailing the way it handles page rank...there's some hard core maths though, so good luck! I'm not sure what the post is for. PageRank was patented by the creators of google, but they were at Stanford at the time. So, Stanford is the real owner of PageRank. That was over a decade ago. The algorithm has been around for years, but I'm sure secretly it has changed many times. Google wants webmasters to concentrate on improving their sites and the internet, not worrying about PageRank. Again, not sure what the post was for... I think people would be in for google's "real" PR http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html Paul |
