I have 2 sites getting these numbers, and only getting a couple of adsense clicks per week. I just have a box up the top of the right sidebar. Is this an expected result, or is my site layout letting me down? |

I think you do need more areas with the ads. If it's a Wordpress site, I'd have banners in the header, sidebars, footer, and in the pages for the individual posts. Also, they don't all have to be adsense banners. You can try banners for affiliate products from Commission Junction (for example). Lastly, use OpenX to rotate the banners so you can see which are converting the best. |

Really depends on your market, and to a smaller extent if the ads are image or text. Placement can also affect it as Zach says. Quick way to tell is to put your keywords into adwords keyword tool and see what the average cost per click is. High cost means competitive keyword and there should be heaps of relevant ads displayed on your adsense. Low value keyword means that the keyword/s aren't competitive and the chance of getting relevant ads is slim. Other thing to consider is affiliate marketing. People get the blinkers on and think adsense is the only way to monetize the site. Having a relevant affiliate link instead can create better income than adsense any day. |

A standard click through rate for AdSense is usually around the 2% mark. If you're ad placement is good enough, you can easily get up to 10-20% Google has an AdSense diagram that shows the optimal placement for Ad Units so maybe check that out. (cant post links) |

The tool you can download which tells "Click Through Rate" It will tell you your actual status. In my opinion you must put a good title and effective Text so you will get 100% clicks. |

One of the most difficult question ever put on Warriors You never know all of them might click or none of them. People clicking your ads is like any business... it depends on what are their likes and also on the ads that are displayed.

Hi, You could try changing your theme, if it is a wordpress site. You would need to wait about for about 1,000 impressions though to get a good feel for which theme is best. 1,000 impression gives the theme a good chance to prove itself. Yes, you could add more adsense blocks which may help. Remember though, if you put up lots of different things to click, often people can't decide which and don't click anything. Anyway, I hope that helps, Ruth |

Adsense can be tricky, often a very small seemingly insignificant adjustment can make a big difference. I suggest you buy a good wso on Adsense there are a few on the forum.

I get between 9% -12% CTR using XFactors template built with XSite Pro. Make the site bland with ads below a short paragraph of text seems to work for me. My content is pretty boring but relevant so I think visitors start looking around for an interesting exit path (the ad!)

Adsense click depends on the quantity of users. If your website is getting huge traffic everyday then in that case you can get good adsense clicks. But for this you need to customize your adsense ads. Always shows both text and image ads on your website and adjust its color theme according to color of the website.

I really dont think you could say with certainly that x number of visitors will produce x number of clicks. I would suggest experimenting with different ad blocks and different ad placement. I just wrote a thread about that and how it helped me increase my earnings. You can see it here: Ad sense- 1 change and earnings up from $50 to almost $100 a day! |
