Hey Warriors, I previously worked for a business solutions company who sold accounts software, epos systems etc and the marketing for this was relatively simple and obvious. Unfortunatley my role there was made redunant last month and I am now working for a tunnelling company which falls under the civil engineering/contruction industry; has anyone got any good tips on marketing such an industry as I find there's not as much can be done compared to more obvious companies like my previous. P.S - I will be designing and developing the website within the next couple of months before anybody looks at it, that's what they had in place to begin with before I started, also I have already started using Google AdWords and will agree that costs/quality scores will be poor due to the website content .Kind Regards, |

Under most circumstances I find that in general marketing relys on the processes rather than the product. What I mean to say is it doesn't matter what you are selling the process of marketing is fundamentally the same. Just adjust it for your situation. |

Oh and by the way (if I haven't already mentioned) - I didn't design the website, a company before me creating it using Drupal, so that's still on my big job list!

I started to read this thread and thought. Thats weird I have seen this question before... Drupal is quite good but can be very complicated if you have alot of assets and pages with dynamic content. Glad you have been making good progress. I hope you diddn't go down the double entendre route. |

After looking at their site it seems that the low hanging fruit is in their recruiting services (which I assume they are paid for) and their equipment (rental/sale???). I would focus on these two areas in developing your web strategy. Chris |

- I think I'm going to steer away from small construction companies from now on! don't get me wrong they were brilliant, but the industry has gone downhill so badly!
