What should I be spending most of my time doing?

Hi my goal is to make 5-10$ a day from adsense in one month. My site's pr is a 4 out of 10. The site ranked number 1 for my targeted keyword is also a 4 out of 10.

If I put in 8 hrs a day working on my website and adsense where should most of my time go?

Creating articles for backlinks? Adding content? what?

Learn to outsource as much as possible, that way you can scale, work on building new sites, outsource your content and SEO.

You gotta do it all.
Keyword research, content based on that research, backlinks to that content.

Then, top it all off with some basic optimization techniques.

Is your target keyword popular or not? If no, you should do more keyword research. If yes, you can do more forum post, answer relevent question to sell your website or product.

Creating articles shouldn't take too much of your time. You can use automatic softwares to do this
