Scroogle vs. Chrome Incognito Window

When I check the SERP for a certain keyword to check my sites' rankings, scroogle is showing me a different result than Google Chrome's Incognito window. Which one is correct?

Both are correct.

Google Chrome's Incognito window still transfers your real IP address which is different than the one of Scroogle. This means that you get the search results optimized for your location.

This is why in Google Webmaster Tools there is a column "Average Rank" and not "Absolute Rank".

Asking here not to create a separate topic: how can it be that Scroogle gives different search results for different people?

Scroogle has many different servers and mixes the IPs etc. So what I already said applies as well. Depending on the IP of the server, it is being detected to be at a different location.

So Google tries to serve up the most relevant content. SERPs are no absolute, for most users - when their history comes into play - they are customized even more.
