First of all, this is not a guideline, I need your help at every step. Day 1, 2nd Sept. 11: Three words 23 char. Long keyword. 2400 exact monthly global searches, 3600 phrase monthly global searches. Competition -nearly 1% of that competition bar. There are other keywords related to it, like [word3 word2 word1] [word2 word1 word3] [word1 word2 word3 + other keywords] etc., but I'm totally ignoring them for now and focusing on that particular exact phrase. Ref: word1, word2, word3 respectivly stand for the words of my niche keyword. Analysis of the first position holder.: Domain name : simple[word1].com Title : [word1 tutorials: word2 word3] H2 heading : [Word2 Word3] Total number of words : 180, surprisingly that's really very low. no comments section, no outbound links found. Home page PR: 4 Home page alexa rank : 159752 Listed Page PR:3, total 39 backlinks of that page, among them 9 backlinks from their own subdomains having PR-2 to 3, and others are from othe sites PR- 0 to1 keyWord density: word1 - 1.4 % word2 - 1.4% word3 - 2.79% [word2 word3] -1.4% exact [word1 word2 word3] : nowhere .... Have you started with the site? I would recommend you to write approx 2000 word content on the homepage. Keyword density should be around 1.5% but it should not be more than 2.5% in any case. Trust me you can really achieve very good results with long 2000 words content alone without the aid of any backlinking stuffs.. I have been using this tricks to all of my niche sites with good results. Good luck |

| Day2, 3rd Sept. 11 Analysis of the 2nd position holder : Title : [changing word3 in word1] main domain name does not contain any keyword, just the subdomain name is similar to the title. Home page PR -6 Alexa rank - 4679 Page PR-3 38 backlinks. 18 backlinks, from other sites - 0 to 1 PR 20 backlinks, own subdomain 2 to 3 PR 950 total word count. Word1-20 Word2-11 Word3-70 other combination of these keywords are nealy zero. --------- Am I missing something? Now my point is that there is no other site with exact keyword in the first page. Should I chose paid hosting with a high level domain name or a free platform is enough with a subdomain? What are the best combination for the title and name. Should it be - word1word2word3.com or word1-word2-word3.com I am thinking to chose blogger or wordpress. |

I recommend paid hosting and a exact match .com domain name if the keyword is not too long. Necessary investment is good for our business.

I'm agree with StoneWilson. Get a paid shared hosting which should be wordpress friendly.. Try to get exact .com domain name..

Which domain name is preferable. Word1word2word3.com or Word1-word2-word3.com or Word1_word2_word3.com |

The competetion bar is not a measure of how tough it is to rank your keyword. It is for people who do ppc.

| If you're using Google Keyword Tool, I'm pretty sure that competition bar means the competition between advertisers. So you want that bar as high as possible so that you can get some more relevant ads as well as higher CPC. Anyways, good luck! ![]() |
