Default How to find out a best keyword?

Hi guys
I selected products on amazon at first, then I pick keywords based on the products.Unfortunately now I have found all the keywords are quite high degree of competition, such as, pr values are 2 or more,it's a lot of backling. If I selected products, how can I find a competitive low keywords?
Is there better keywords tool than Google keywords tool?
what to do?
Or I re-selected products?

thanks

PR 2 is not that big a deal. Moreover it's not always the backlinks that determine the PR of a particular webpage. Lemme walk you a bit to the keyword selection and PR road..then you can do the right decision yourself. NOTE: I'm in the process of building my first website myself so don't think I'm pro or something but yeah I do have some knowledge on PR and stuff like that.

First of all, the one main factor apart from backlinks that determine the PR of the website is it's AGE. So even if the PR is 2 or more that doesn't mean the backlinks are more for that site. It simply can mean that website is around for quite some time and thus is authority site for many keywords due to its age factor. It's difficult to outrank an aged website. So my suggestion is if the website troubling you are Aged websites it will be difficult to outrank them by just building backlinks.

Second, it's not difficult to outrank PR 2-3 websites. It's when the PR is 4 or more you're in trouble. Simple content creation and constant link building can overthrow a PR2 website in couple of months.

Third, if the higher PR websites are big butts like AMAZON, WIKIPEDIA or like them, you can have lower PR and still traffic if your content is good because people won't always go to AMAZON or WIKIPEDIA if they are out there to find the review of a particular product.

Fourth, the PR is determined at page level NOT at website level. So one page of the site might be getting a PR 4 or more but some other page might be getting PR0..so if for one keyword you find a website more competitive, its wise to comb the website and see if you can find some pages with less PR and then optimize your website for those keywords.

Finally, it will take you a month or 2 to outrank a website with PR 2 or more..all you have to do is created good quality content and keep on creating backlinks for your website. The more content you have, the more backlinks you keep on creating and more months/years passed for your website, the competition will keep on shaking on its own.

Offering my 2 cents to the IM Community

sites with PR2 are not strong ones and it won't be difficult to get more page rank. Your main aim should be your content to make your target audience interested in it. Be sure that your content is unique and valuable for people. Than get the high quality back links. And step by step you'll get your desired traffic. Good Luck

You will need to check out more products, simply.

Look for keywords with:
  • more than 1000 exact match
  • competition you can beat fairly easy and fast
  • longtail, 3-5 words with phrase
  • look for high CPC if you plan to adsense
Hope that helps!

Google keywords tool works fine. If you want to use google keyword tool, make sure to sign in so you'll get around 5-10x more keyword showing up than before.

PR 2 is easy to compete with but it depends how experience you are in SEOing. First, spy their on-page seo and see their weakness. Use traffic travis to do this. Optimize the keyword on your website(h1,h2,italic,boldness etc).

Second, spy their quantity and quality of their backlink. Use yahoo site explorer and if it less than 100 backlink and the backlinks are like junk such as blog commenting, forum profile then you may easily rank in matter of 1-3 days. If your competitor use web 2.0, article directories and other bunch of high authority site than you have to work hard to achieve that rank you want.

Good luck!
