Hi, I create Privacy Policy for websites using Privacy Policy plugin... It will be the same across different websites and hence I would like to know how to stop indexing that page alone by search engines(especially google) so that I wont get penalty for duplicate content. Is there a better way for creating Privacy Policy page ? |

You won't get penalized for duplicate content my friend for having the privacy policy plugin, the information out there about duplicate content is way off base.

You should only have a single Privacy Policy per domain, so no problem with duplicate content right? Your Privacy Policy will get buried in the SERPs sooner or later, you can also add a NOINDEX tag to that single pages header, If you don't like the Privacy Policy showing up in the SERPs. Be very careful with this tag, any page/post that includes this tag will be removed from the SERPs (eventually). Quote:

When you first create the site, the Privacy Policy will show in the SERPs, still after a while when you start creating new blog post it will get buried, even with a link in the footer of every page pointing at the Privacy Policy. | |
