You start looking for off-page SEO solutions to rank your site. Is your content really that fresh? Is it really that good? Think about this for a minute. Do you even know how to properly implement on-page SEO techniques that work in 2011? Do you understand proper keyword density, how to write an article that offers excellent information to your readers? Check this. Last week I consulted on a site that had stellar content but wasn't utilizing any SEO. I instructed them on proper title tag, h1 tag, and yes even meta tag optimization and guess what happened? They started ranking, for some seriously competitive keywords. Absolutely ZERO off-page SEO was taking place for this site and they started ranking. Why? Because they had stellar content, that was original and just so happened to have the proper keyword density because (gasp!) it was written for humans and not search engines! Three little tweaks and all of a sudden this site is now ranking for some brutal ass keywords. So what are you doing? Are you so focused on off-page SEO that you don't even think about what you are slapping up on your site? Are you even doing your tag optimization correctly? Are you writing for search engines or for human readers? For those struggling to rank, start by creating kick-ass content and optimizing your site correctly--then look to outside sources ranking help. |

I was thinking about this recently, in the past months I created 3 new websites, after add 3-5 articles to them I started adding backlinks, and they now get penalized. And I found it's not a smart move to rush into offpage optimization, we need to make sure we have enough quality contents on our websites first.
