Default Direct Traffic Adsense Clicks

I don't get a lot of traffic ~40-55 unique visitors/day and some of that is through direct traffic. How does that even work, because my domain name has a .net extension so why are these visitors directly going to my site? And on top of that, some of my clicks are coming from these unique, direct traffic visitors.

What I'm worried about is losing my Adsense account because of click fraud. I haven't gotten my first Adsense cheque so I don't know what they'll do at that time but does anyone have any idea how I'm getting this kind of traffic? I would think that maybe I'd get some return visits that remember my site and type in in their browser, but Google Analytics says these are unique visitors.
