I did a majestic seo report and this is what the overview said: ulcseminary.org 96,167 5,755 5,000 254 www.ulcseminary.org 89,593 5,087 5,000 229 http://www.ulcseminary.org 41,948 3,271 5,000 528 At one point, I tried to do a re-direct to get these all to one place, but then either my forum didn't work or my store didn't work. How much is this hurting me in my SEO? Suggestions for fixing it? Do those numbers represent different links? I'm technotarded, so any help would be appreciated. Please type slowly so I can understand it. ![]() Thanks. |

I thought that if they weren't re-directed, then it was seen as duplicate content or something. And if I had them all going to the one place, would that increase my total links?

I would hop on google webmaster tools and see if they flag your for duplicate content. If they do, then you know you need to set up a redirect. Having www. and the normal domain . com sometimes confuse google, but it isn't always a problem.

I'm looking through the tools. Where does it check for duplicate content?

You can just enter both domains in your webmaster tools account and then pick the one you prefer. Google is smart enough to know that a domain with and without www. is in most cases the same, so don't worry too much. You can, of course, also try to either fix the problem with your forum or your shop. I'm sure it's just a simple option in the respective configuration file. |

Now I'm reading the new pdf from Cliff on penalties and it's saying that without the re-direct, I may be getting duplicate content penalties. Ugh. I guess I have to fix that. |
