Ranking A New Website Quickly Without Getiing Pentlized?

I have a website that is only a few days old. I was wondering how do I rank a website quickly without getting penalized? I have heard if you build too many links too fast it could hurt your website. Any tips or suggestions?

Take it slow in your first 3 months, most new websites are in a sandbox to being with, it's how google prevents webspam, otherwise new sites could be spammed to the top of the serps in a couple of days, so start with a diverse range of links, press release, social bookmarks, blog comments, high pr backlinks, etc........keep a diverse anchor text, and build consistently, after 3 months you can step it up a notch. SEO is a marathon not a race, it takes time for good rankings.

The key is consistency and not volume or quantity. You should build any quantity of links that you can consistently build every other day. No penalties will result.

Imagine a big company the size of Facebook starts operation online. Would you expect it, even in its first few weeks online, to build the same volume of links a relatively small online business would? Certainly not.

If however you build a large volume of links occasionally and you are not able to keep up consistently, then it would draw the attention of Google.

Why not start with social bookmarking, then article directories submission and high PR blog commenting

1- Search Engine Submission
2- Social Bookmarking( like Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon, Propeller, etc.)
