Default Adsense Still Showing Interest Based Ads. Why?

I have it checked not to show interest based ads but whenever I look at my websites there are totally irrelevant ads that relate to searches I have done. Anyone know why this is happening. I just want content relevant ads.

Are they new websites? The Adsense bot may not have crawled them yet to serve up relevant ads relating to your content.

What about your content, though? Is it optimized properly for the keywords you're targeting?

i suggest you check your content...sometimes is due to the lack of your keywords or is the content too general?

The content is perfectly SEO optimized. For example one of my websites is ranking on page 2 of an extremely competitive car insurance keyword and when I look at the site its got 2 ads for Sony Bravia TV's I am assuming because I had recently been searching for a new TV. Isn't this exactly what turning off the interest based ads check box is supposed to avoid?!
