So, is there a way we can find out whether the comments on certain blogs are dofollow or nofollow?

certainly, you could find a toolbar in firefox as well as chrome. for chrome if the link shows a pink colored tag then its nofollow if not then its dofollow.

The easiest, and quickest way to check do-follow, is by using either the Firefox, or Flock browser and the SEO for Firefox extension.

Yep...a handy way of seeing which blogs are "do follow" or "no follow" using a Firefox Web browser add-on. Matt Cutts posted about this capability, which also dates back to 2005. However, it still works well and can be extremely eye-opening as to what links are "do follow" or "no follow." |

Look in the page source (ctrl + u), and check to see if the <a href...> tags have rel="nofollow" in them. Also, plenty of plugins (like SEO for Firefox) make it easy to check as well. |

I believe that Google now doesn't give a toss for backlinking and is attempting to bring genuine content to the top of list using its intelligent panda algorithms. They're onto spamming and link farms and i believe the best you can do is simply learn to write amazing content and be patient. Yes, still bookmark but i think your unique content will win the day. Also avoid adsense stuffing as google will sniff it out and slap you down the PR list. Good luck! |

Hi, I have tried several tools to do this and the simplest and easiest to use is the NoDoFollow add-on for firefox. Install the NoDoFollow (free) add-on then right click anywhere in your browser window and select NoDoFollow, all the do follow links on the page will now be highlighted in blue and all the no follow links will be highlighted in red. |

Install firefox plugin for nofollow and right click your mouse and tick the option "Nofollow" to highlight links and nofollow links will be highlighted in pink color where dofollow links are highlighted in blue. Hope this helps. There are extensions for chrome browsers also. |

simplest method with no plugins... right click the link click "inspect element" the link will look something like this (dofollow): <a href="http://domain.com" target="_blank">Anchor text</a> if its like this: <a href="http://domain.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Anchor text</a> thens its nofollow link. |

There are plenty of add-ons that will do this. But if you're going to get heavy into commenting you REALLY should pick up a tool like Scrapebox. (Not just for the fast poster, either. But analyzing and sorting through quality blogs.)
