AdSense backup .. Help

Hello,

I'm new to this .. I have a micro niche (in french) and I'm trying to monetize it.. I started using AdSense. But I have remarked the following:

1- I see a difference between ad requests and matched ads (I 57% Coverage). Does this mean that there are some ads were not delivered by adsense. Is there any backup advertising network like adsense I can use as a backup where no adsense ad were served? How? What do you recommend?

2- I had today (by adsense manager) a CPC cost much much lower to what I had last days? what does this mean? when setting adsense, i checked to display my website for advertisers to put ad directly on my websiet (or something like this) is this correct? Do you think that I had advertisers that have put ads with low CPC on my website?

3- what is individual ads and what is their role?
