My friend lives in Canada and I am trying to help him rank in google.ca I heard others saying that its best to go with a 'canadian' host and with a .ca domain. I see that .ca does make sense, but what about hosting? Does it matter much? Thanks in advance. |

Ok, I've heard the same & had people swear to me that you won't rank a site for a local search unless it's hosted with a local host... ...but from my own experience with my own sites this isn't completely true. All my local Australian sites (with .com.au domains) are hosted on US servers and I've never had a problem getting #1 or top 10 rankings in Google for some very competitive, local search keywords. Thanks for your input. I guess its just rumors afterall. I dont see much benefits using local host as well, unless someone here wants to share their positive experience about it. Thanks for your time again. |
