Default Site gone from Google. Not sandbox. But why?

Hi, I've got a site... totally removed from all ranked keywords. traffic from 2k a day went down to 50 a day. I thought it was sandbox or penalty.

Checked using site:domain.com and still shows 23,700 results. PR 2 is still there. No sandbox message in webmaster tools.

Can anyone explain??? It's so weird. =\

LOL!!!!!!!!! Why would you think there's going to be sandbox
message?!?!?!?!? That is rich!

How about the fact that the internet changes?
New sites come on?
Old sites get better?
People don't search the same way?
Algorithm tweaked a bit?
Holiday weekend?
Tropical storms?
Power outages?

Come on man. I could list 1,000 what ifs.

Stop relying on google, create more (better) content, and
funnel your traffic from reliable sources.

Paul

If your site is old, and it suddenly got dropped from Google, there might be a more nefarious reason for this. I suspect the answer, but I do not want to mention it here, as I don't want to give anyone any ideas.....

And it's not the usual suspects.

Can you PM me the reason?

My site has also vanished from google search results, for no apparent reason.
