Benefits of Learning SEO - not for websites but for OURSELVES

Well, I've been learning about SEO technique and several methods about nearly a year now, and one thing I realized that is,

The search engine method, to rank websites, it is also affect my way of thinking...
Why I would say that??

one of the simplest example is seo onpage and offpage, which onpage is internal website and offpage is external.. which is true that we must strength our power inside then going "outside"(especially when we do some new business)

and other example that affect my thinking is such as how search engine put the keyword importancy (like relevancy, density, etc), and tend to ignore unimportant words, that affect me a lot when I hear other explanation of something, I tend to only give attention to their keyword which will help a lot to understand what they mean.. well, thats just my experience in daily life in relation of search engine method. I'm sure everyone here that learnt SEO for a long time already maybe have some experience too.
