Problem with Header Tags ! Help needed

Hello all ,

I have a problem with header tags in my newly created WordPress blog. I'm also a newbie to WP.

My site's title is popping up in the search engine's for every page that i open in my website. I want my site title to show up in the website but not in the search engine's as it takes half of my title away.

Is there any way that i can rectify this issue.
